Method & honesty box

Median ($46,300) and average ($61,600) are 2024 Canadian Income Survey figures (persons 15+ with income, before tax). Top thresholds come from StatCan's high-income tax-filer data for tax year 2023 (released Oct 2025). Between published anchors we interpolate in log-space; below the median we use a log-normal fit. The result is a solid estimate, not a census count — and note the one-year seam between the 2024 median and 2023 top thresholds.
